It is the 5th day of the follow the torch relay and today the torch is in Macae. Macae is a small town located in the Brazilian state of Rio De Janeiro. Macae is 180 km northeast of the capital state of Rio. It's population was recorded in 2010 and they had 206,748 compared to around 46,000 people in Gisborne and it covers around 1,216 km squared. Some economic activities in Macae are tourism and fishing.
